Star Wars: JFO

About the Project

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order is a 3rd person action-adventure title developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. I was a part of the team who helped to create some of the marketing content for the game before and after its release, we localised many assets for markets across the globe. Below you can see some of the content I took part in creating.

Digital Out Of Home (DOOH)

We created a wide variety of DOOH assets for this Star Wars game, one of the ones I worked on more specifically, was the London Waterloo placement where I pieced together different videos from the marketing material into a short clip which would be displayed at the station. This format provided some unique challenges as the aspect ratio of the screens at Waterloo where the asset would be placed is very extreme. To combat this, we duplicated the video on both ends of the display. We had the main marketing content in the middle, helping to increase the visibility for people no matter where they are viewing the asset from.

HTML

The HTML banners were some of the assets we worked the most extensively on. We worked on various sizes and formats, ranging from standard 300×250, 300×600 & 970x250s to more complex ones that expanded and collapsed. We also localised these into many markets across almost every continent, such as English, French, German, Brazilian, Mexican, Korean, Japanese and many more.

Statics & Homepage Takeovers (HPTO)

Another type of marketing content we worked on was HPTOs. We created them for sites including IGN, Den of Geek and Fandom. There were various types of HPTOs we created for each site, as some included video or HTML banners, some had thinner side panels and some we were required to supply as multiple images instead of one.
